Postgraduate education (Research targets)

The Material Science Research Group is working on the development and application of new zirconia-based ceramics, the development of new shaped fiber post and the analysis of root fracture using high-speed camera.
The Craniomandibular Function and Dysfunction Research Group is working on the cognitive behavior therapy for TMD patients, sex difference and immunological evaluation of chronic orofacial pain, objective assessment of muscle pain, and the ambulatory bruxism recording system.
The Dental Implant Research Group has been developing the simulation system for the implant surgery and CAD/CAM fabricated surgical guide. The computer-aided system for implant surgery with head mounted display is now under development.
The Biology-driven Prosthodontics Research Group has been carried out basic- and translational-research aiming at alveolar bone regeneration.
The goals of our research projects are to identify and develop new bioactive factors and biomaterials for stem cell (tissue stem cells and iPS cells) manipulation to achieve efficient alveolar bone regeneration.
